chile21.jpgDays here tend to start running together! Saturday was another great day at the work site. The roof joists are coming along, the plumbing supplies are on-site, the electrical continues and insulation has begun. A time-lapse camera would really show the activity of many work teams on all three floors and the roof. We worked a little late and had the evening off. (more…)

Team 2 Update 2

Wednesday to Friday

chile15.jpgThere are so many people working in so many different areas, the building is constantly changing. At this point the ridge beam is up, the rafters are up and the back roof has the plywood down. The outside of the building is being wrapped in tar paper in preparation for siding that is sitting in the entryway. The Chilean electrician, Mauricio, is working on the first floor and our team is working on the second floor. Crews have been adding the small things – but necessary things – such as the headers over the doors. (more…)

Team 1 had a well-deserved time in Vina del Mar. The ocean was cold and several ended up with either a food poisoning or stomach virus. Several of those staying into Team 2 stayed at the worksite and got a lot more work done. We’re very happy that team 1 made it home safely. (more…)
